Lorenzo Fan Club in full splendour at Montmeló
The Gran Premi Aperol de Catalunya over the weekend saw Jorge Lorenzo’s fan club in full swing, as they prepared and carried out a well-planned programme of support for the Mallorcan in his home race.
Located in Tribune G at the Barcelona circuit, the numerous members of ‘marea X-fuera’ ensured they were both seen and heard as they cheered Lorenzo on to his fifth win of the season with a huge 150m2 banner and flags which all bore the new ‘Spartan’ logo that the Fiat Yamaha rider displayed on his helmet.
In addition, hundreds of fans were issued with black flags around the circuit and a small section of the JL99 Official Fan Club took a tour of the Montmeló paddock accompanied by the rider.
In this motogp.com video you can see the efforts and organisation that were put in by the members of the Official Fan Club, and how they executed and celebrated their plans during an intense weekend of action at the Circuit de Catalunya.
