Most applications will have a log which will record errors and other information. It would be worth clearing out to see if you can gain some space :)

Cool, I am now fiddiling with the dreamweaver free trial, anyone else have any suggestion?
I prefer GoLive to Dreamweaver, but that could just be me liking the setup and workflow because it more closely mimics Photoshop. I believe Adobe offers a 30-day trial of GoLive CS2, check that out while you're at it and compare them. If you use other Adobe products (or other Macromedia ones) you might find the given program easier to use simply by association of workflow and layout.
Edit: Not free, but Adobe does have student pricing if you qualify. If not, once you purchase one app, I believe the entire Creative Suite isn't that far away which would gain you many other apps. Depending on your usage, look into it to see if that makes sense for you.

The way I read this article is: Apple is going for that little bit more,which cost a bit more also but they know that the potential clients are willing to afford it so why wouldn't they do it? Samsung can't afford the same move so they cry out loud saying their better...

I hope this is standard on ios5. It is pretty rediculous for the data to be there and yet the ipad doesnt use it
if they do include that feature in ios5, i'm sure they'll require an ipad 3 to be able to use it.

I've been researching some of the OCZ PCI solutions (much cheaper of course) and I doubt I will be able to boot in Mac Pro with that card, is that true ?
Why would you think that? If you have the correct PCIe slot, it should allow you to boot from it. A quick email to their tech support might allow you know for sure.
HOWEVER! If you're thinking about the cheaper versions, look at their transfer speeds. Only PCI solutions which offer a clear speed enhancement over SATA 2 or 3 should be bought. Why waste a PCI slot if a SATA drive has the same performance (assuming you have more SATA slots available than PCI slots)?

I wish I could get a free iMac! Even the first generations still pop up on craigslist and sell for $50 here. Haha, also makes me feel old... I remember in Elementary School when they introduced those machines and we got a lab of them to replace PowerMac 5200s... ahh how time changes.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with ssd, for the price it is just not necessary. I use my macbook almost exclusively for W7 and it runs very well no speed problems accessing files etc. I too tried to install W7 without bootcamp and even os x but found it was too much bother, much easier with BC.

A lot of the times if you don't properly drive a high impedance can, a lot of its sound won't be as tight and crisp as it should, so it's not just the volume output. I remember the first time I heard a high quality tube amp on a HD650 in a store, it was the first time it made a song I really know and like have a bass that sounded like an actual kick drum rather than a soft boom boom noise, I was pretty amazed.Yup, I was really surprised when I started using a headphone amp for the first time. Its a powerful difference.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Have you plugged your hd650's into a mbp? How did it sound?

are you on 4.3? netfilx released an update for 4.3 today, might be the problem
I'm JB on 4.2.1. Display out works fine with the HDMI adapter. Netflix is the only app that has problems.

My friend texted me asking if I wanted an old iMac for free, I obviously said yes. It is a snow 600MHz iMac G3 with 512MB of RAM, 40GB HD, and it works wonderfully. I'm currently looking for my 10.4 disks and going to install Tiger on it. Can't wait.

i used to do a lot of traveling and my PSP kept me
if you're into old school, i got a lot of play out of the Pirates! remake for the PSP and it's at bargain bin prices now. there's an EA collection for the PSP with Wing Commander and a lot of other good games, but avoid it... they're all SNES versions and virtually unplayable. biggest waste of $29 i ever spent on a PSP game. no where on the box could i find that they were the half-assed SNES versions of good PC games.
but anyways...
if you like Zelda-esque RPG's, the PSP version of Y's kept me entertained on some long plane trips. that's probably also in the bargain bin by now.
my friend says Puzzle Quest is very good if you can find it, but i'm not into those types of games personally. lumines is crap if you ask me, but hey... to each their own.

Unless being mobile is a necessity, go with the G5 iMac. The extra horsepower will pay off. The 17" screen also comes in handy when you start adding tracks.
I don't know about the tech spec. You should be able to find this info on Apple's web site.
As for speakers. I use JBL Creatures and have been very pleased with them. They come in white and silver, both of which would compliment the iMac.
