Perm applied in May 2007 . Got audit in June . Responded within a week. No response since then. Company lawyer approached DOL 3 times checking for the labor status. No response.
Is it possible to resubmit the perm application retaining old date. Any suggestion if that might help.

I am an American citizen. My Chinese wife of 3 years and I will move to St. Louis and buy a home there. She is a businesswoman and must return to China several times per year to take care of a business there. She will be applying for her immigrant visa very soon.
HOW MANY DAYS PER YEAR CAN SHE LEAVE THE US PER YEAR WITHOUT PUTTING HER IMMIGRANT VISA IN JEOPARDY?
Being a US resident is more important that the job, but we would like to do both, if possible.
I apprecite ANY advice formn knowledgeable people, including non-lawyers.

Supposed my I-485 was approved, am I legally required to go to USCIS, surrender my I-94 card and get a I-551 stamp? Could I just wait for GC to come in the mail?

hi
we are paying social security and medicare taxes where as we are not entitle to any of this benefits. they are taking this taxes based on giving permanent status but they have slowed green card processing near to impossible. that's fine, but taking social security taxes is not right when we are certainly not going to part of that system.
they must stop those taxes till green card is processed.

The NJ team has taken the initiative to make more people aware of the situation our organization. As part of this initiative, the NJ team will be distributing flyers to visitors of the Bridgewater temple today starting at 11.30 am.
If you would like to participate in activities like this, please feel free to start a thread for your state/district and other volunteers can pitch in

I am on H1B extension. Means my stamp is expired.
I have a ticket to go to India. I am traveling through the following route
Boston- London- Bahrain - Bombay.
I heard that I need to have transit visa for UK as my connection is in UK (2 Hrs).
I don't have the UK visa and I will not have the US visa at the time of entry in UK.
I have very sort time now in my hand.
1. I really need to have the UK transit visa?
2. Yes then how to get this?
What should I do now?

Really disappointing. Senator Schumer says on the one hand that the targeted companies are not violating the law and on the other says they are underpaying their workers - which would be a violation of the law. Which is it? And he disparages the entire staffing industry - an industry that in the US employs far more American citizens than immigrants - by questioning the legitimacy of the business model and complaining that these companies don't make anything. I am a strong supporter of Comprehensive Immigraton Reform (CIR). I have been on both sides of the fence. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, I was an attorney for the Immigration and Naturalization Service. Just a thought that as we have seen that the current president is know for taking quick decisions. Is there anyway we can get his attention to our cause. Does White house have a fx no# ? Send him faxes etc. and send to all presidential candidates too like Clinton, Obama to etc.

Hi,
I am planning to travel to Indian in coming months. However, I have a stright outright dismissed CMIT case back in 2007. I got the non convincted case expunged. I got FBI finger print results and they say no records were found. I got BCI from state which states no records were found. Last time , I travelled abroad was in 2006. I have a valid AP.
Do you see any risk of re entrying US on AP?.
Your help is much appreciated as I have to have to be there in India.

yes. its possible. i had my 140 denied and i wanted to know everything about my case from labor to 140denial to appeals. I filed FOIA and USCIS sent me everything on a CD.

It has to be 693 as per my understanding. The doctors usually have their versions of 693, in multipart (3-4). I think the 4th part is green and is intended to be your copy. Along with 693 there is a supplement page for vaccinations etc.
