Hi, I am in same boat as you. I tried to find infomation & reality is 485 for future spouse can be filed only if the PD becomes current.

I applied my 485 as a single on July 17th.
I got married and then applied my spouse's on Aug 16th.

Since I am married now, will that cause my application to get rejected as I applied as Single.

I am not sure how would this be handled at USCIS end ?

Any idea ?

How important is filing date when it comes to I-485 processing? Does USCIS process I-485s by Filing Date or by Priority Date? If it does so by Filing Date, and assuming that the dates stay current for a long time, does it mean that a person with a later PD can get his/her I-485 processed before a person with an earlier PD if the person with the earlier PD has a later FD?

Guys

I have a question. Why is it that no one, including AILA, considered filing a lawsuit asking USCIS to do their jobs.

In this world of retrogression and uncertainity, USCIS is processing very slowly. If they can use all 140,000 visa numbers and the recaputre numbers from 1999-2000 (I think it is around 220,000), we might not have this problem here today.

We are not asking them to make any changes to law or administrative fixes. All we are asking is that they do their jobs efficiently. So, why is it no organization has tried this? or has this been tried before and failed..

Thanks guys. Nik, my boss took the decision out of my hands and had me order the 2 lense option. I'm hoping it's compact enough that I can hike with it. If so, he said he'd take my Canon Pro1 for the shop and I could have this. If I take it, then I'll look into your suggestion.

Before i present my RFE I will explaing My GC:
I did masters and worked on OPT for sometime with Company A and they applied H1B,
still working for Company A as H1B as Senoir Programmer ANalyst.
At one point CompanyB filed GC process and I-140 approved as a IT Manager in EB2
PD=jan 2006
Still working with H1B from COmpany A
I never worked for Company B and it no longer exists...
Company A recently merged with ANother Company X
I recently got an RFE How do i respond PLease help me:
Below are the details

Please submit a properly completcd Form G-325A, Biographic Information Sheet, for yourself. Your original
signature is required on the Form G-325A. Photocopied signatures are not acceptable. Blank immigration forms
and information are available online from the official Service website: USCIS Home Page. You may also ordcr
immigration forms by phone at 1-800-870-3676.

Submit documentary evidencc to establish your employmcnt history listcd on Form G-325A. Such evidence
should include, but is not limited to:

Clear copies ofIRS Form W -2 wage and tax statcmcnts;
Pay vouchers;

Complete copies of properly filcd Federal Individual Income Tax Returns (IRS Form 1040);

Any additional documentation which confirms your employment history.
You must submit a currcntly dated letter from your intended permanent employer dcseribing your present job
duties and position in the organization, your proffered position, if different from your current position, the date
you began employment and the offered salary or wage. This letter must be in the original and signed by an

I have received FP notices both for my wife and myself for both 485 & 765. Code 3 ,2 . The question is :I dont know how FP process works. My wife has very smooth and sweaty hands. When i applied for Canadian immigration during FBI FP process even after n no. of attempts we couldnt get good prints on FP Sheet using INK. Ofcourse through speaking with Canadian Consulate they gave her an exemption over this. Now many of my friends have informed me that FP process is Electronic is this true?

I think she has no problem with electronic FP as US consulate could take her FP's when initially she went for H4 in i ndia. please comment.

its electronic, so you should be ok. They are also very patient, and try a lot ways to get clean prints (using wipes etc) [atleast at the Oakland ASC]

I already had my meeting for permanent residency and it remains pending until I submit to them a more detailed version (the long form) of my birth certificate. They did have my original but it was not the one they wanted and I was unaware of this until the end of my meeting. I have been given a deadline and although I have applied for the certificate that the US immigration wants, it has not yet been delivered. The hold up has not been with me but with the government offices that process the certificates so there has been nothing I could do. The deadline is fast approaching - I'm concerned that they will toss out my whole claim (as was indicated on the notification they gave me) if I don't get it to them on time. Will they allow me and extension on the time? I am not working through a lawyer. Thank you.

Dec. 06 expired a lettler that USCIS send to my employer but we never received the lettler, it was a wrong information for the address my boss was talking with an officer of USCIS and she reported electronically to Nebraska about this problem, we send just in case last Friday again all the documents with the I-140 we don't know what evidence they need, but the thing is that we have to wait ; we don't have a lawyer everything was fine the only problem was that we never received a letter about the I-140 because the address omit the suite number do you think that no matter what we have to find a lawyer ...or just wait... the adjusment was submit in May 2006.

I am an Indian citizen. I have an approved I-140 under National Interest Waiver with a PD of Aug 31, 2007. I am now a permanently employed scientist at a National Lab. I think I am now eligible for application under EB-1 Outstanding researcher category. Is it possible to apply for I-485 without another I-140? It will take quite some time to secure all the recommendation letters to apply for EB-1 (OR). I am wondering if I can bypass the whole process of I-140 and directly apply for adjustment of status based on my approved I-140 saving time and effort.

Thanks in advance for any answer.

Here's to wondering if the 14n isn't moving.. I've personally seen just a couple actually in the field, not a favorite of news photogs and I'm not sure what market is picking them up.

It's tough to compete with all of the emerging DSLR's and that's obviously good for us consumers.
