Hi ALL,
Here is idea. It can happen to you next week, sorry, but its possible.
Lets say you lost your job next Friday (usually Fridays right). And getting your next job will take you another 6 months, if lucky.
What will you do. Will you start pressing a panic button to push for reducing EB2/3 backlogs. Will you write to Obama and team then?.
I know some of us are unfortunate to be in the situation, not me, but who knows??.
So, can we just imagine to be in such a situation and bring more and more attention to the new goverment. Just act as if you lost your job and in despair.
Start writing. Dont just dream for the 11th or 13th for VB dates. Lets put some action.

new H1 and H1 visa renewal are done in all US embassies in Canada.
1. Look out for dates, after registering and paying fees. USD 9.50 for one appointment of one, two, three .... members.
2. Dates are not available, but are released around 20th in bult; also, check out each hour.
3. Allow 30 days for Canadian TRV (temporay visitors visa) to come in mail
4. Go for visa interview.
I did all the above, but had to cancel Vancouver appointment for lack of leave from a very good and generous employer ( I am in operations). Any other questions, please feel free to PM me.
Are they now allowing to get a H1/H4 stamping done in Canada instead of going back to home country ?

I have had situations where CIS has issued more than one RFE, but only about twice in 12 years of immigration practice.
I would relax now and be happy about not getting another RFE in short time.

thats what scared me when i read this thread... so, basically, they are using even the pending 485s to raise issues on 140 etc... this i bad stuff.

Yes you can apply today , per Aug bulletin it's all "U" , forgot about that !!!!

You can't come back on expired visa if you applied for a new visa in Canada if the request for new visa is denied. To come back on expired visa you will be using automatic visa revalidation and according to 2002 AVR memo, AVR applies only for Canada or Mexico if you visit for less than 30 days, haven't applied for a new visa stamp at a consulate abroad and are still eligible to be admitted in the status.
If you apply for visa and get denied, you can go back to home country and reapply or enter on AP if you have it. And entry on AP is not an admittance to US, it is only being paroled into US.

I have an unexpired H-1B visa stamp in my passport and I have contacted my attorney to upgrade the petition to premium. I plan to re-enter the country with the approved I797 and the unexpired H1B visa associated with the previous employer.
For some reason, my attorney feels strongly that I need to get visa stamp in my passport from either canada or home country(India), if the petition is approved. Do you see any strong reason why he thinks I need a visa stamp in my passport?
I have tried to convince him that people do re-enter with the approved I797 with attached I94, as long as they have an unexpired visa of the same class.

You probably put the update on your camera (if you followed Nikon's directions) but you may have not installed it. What I mean is if you go to firmware to see what version your using you should see at the bottom update available, install? Or something along those lines. You then must select that and hit the enter button. When it is installed the menu should be a dark grey color. That is the 2.0 menu.
Bracketing can be done by holding the button on the left side of camera (with back facing you) behind the auto,m,a...dial. It's beside the format button. If you hold that and roll your thumb dial on the right hand side it should turn on your backeting. If you want to adjust the settings you should be able to do that using, I think, your index finger dial on the front.

Good to see you getting optimistic, I saw your frustration at April visa Numbers and glad to see you back with green $$$ this time !!
Bill introducted by Sen. Frist is great news, even though it is still in initial stages [Cross our fingers] glad we have something positive happenning.
We need to work harder and make sure it passes the house and becomes a law..long path and we should remain focussed every step of the way.

Did you 4 years old get a visa yet? How about your neice and nephew? The agent in Thailand called my niece mother and ask for money in order to prepare her paperwork for an interview. Do you think she should hire an agent there to make sure she got everything correctly.
